The White Stripes is an American rock duo formed in 1997 in Detroit. The group consists of Jack White and Meg White. The White Stripes come to prominence in 2002, as part of the garage rock revival scene. Their successful and acclaimed albums White Blood Cells and Elephant drew attention internationally, especially in the United States and the United Kingdom. The single “Seven Nation Army” fast becoming their signature song and a rock classic.
